Largo Florida has a history rooted in citrus farming. Today, however, Largo has reclaimed its Old Florida feel in the redevelopment of its downtown area’s shops and restaurants. It’s got a small-town charm featuring antique shops, a local brewery and the feeling of a very close-knit community. The city is probably most well-known for its expansive Central Park, which hosts frequent festivals and is home to a miniature train that loops around the park on the first full weekend of every month.
Largo is just a stone’s throw from the beautiful beaches and surrounded by Pinellas County’s natural settings. The city offers a great quality of life for residents with affordable living and a central location to just about everywhere. Valued green spaces, an engaged and active community along with safe and attractive streets have all contributed to Largo’s desirability.
Largo is centrally located in Pinellas County. It is south of Clearwater, north of St. Petersburg, east of Belleair and west of Tampa Bay. Largo has a population of more than 82,000 residents. It is the third-largest city in Pinellas County and fourth-largest city in Tampa Bay.

Largo Florida has a very active community. There are a large number of events on the city’s calendar and include something for everyone. These events that create opportunities for its community to interact, celebrate, and enrich residents’ and visitors’ lives. Activities include Thirsty Third Fridays, plays in the park, movies in the park, annual luau, Mother’s/Father’s Day Celebrations, 4th of July festivities, Art in the Park, various Halloween activities, Taste Fest, Veteran’s Day celebration, Holiday Arts and Crafts Bazaar, Thanksgiving activities, annual car show, Holiday Lights Stroll and assorted winter holiday events.
