Gulfport Florida
Gulfport Florida is still a relatively undiscovered gem on Boca Ciega Bay. Picture old oaks draped in Spanish moss, brick-paved streets, small colorful cottages, and light shimmering on the Bay. Although still a sleepy beach town, but it’s gaining interest for its culinary and arts scene, and for its colorful ambiance. The downtown area has a few art galleries, as well as the Catherine A. Hickman Theater, a small performing arts center. There are no chain stores, no parking meters – just Old Florida charm.
It has a vibrant art community, a fishing pier, Clam Bayou Nature Park, the Great Florida Birding Trail and an historic Casino on the waterfront that hosts events and dancing almost every night of the week.
Gulfport Florida is in Pinellas County, on Boca Ciega Bay. It’s south and west of St. Petersburg and east of South Pasadena. Gulfport has a population of nearly 12,500 residents.
